Nice and tidy room. The staff are friendly and the hotel is well situated with very short walk through carpark to Matakana Pub or if you prefer, the markets on saturday or sunday morning. Great to stay if you're attending a wedding or other function but obviously its only a hotel so not an experience in itself.

We stayed over the weekend and found our studio to be great for what we needed, it was clean and spacious. The bed was firm but comfortable enough, the shower had great pressure too. Do not stay here. Dirty bathroom with mould in skylight and around shower. Couches covered in grime so much so that I had to sit on a coat so I didnt touch the fabric, just gross. This motel is in a prime location - about a minutes walk from the centre of Matakana, it is set back from the road so there is no noise from traffic. Didn't expect 5 star accommodation but this was extremely basic & rundown for the price. Not so keen on sharing the bedroom with all the cockroaches either!! Thank goodness for the fly spray. Definitely in need of some TLC!

This place is the only motel in this area and it's bad. Walls are extremely thin and it was noisy. Sleep was difficult. Room was not clean. Yuk double Yuk and it was extremely expensive for the type of accommodation it was and for the area. Next time we will try the abundant B&B's that are in the area.
