San Bruno Mtn Bicycle is about 18.2 miles long and located near San Francisco, California. Highlight is a long uphill and downhill in ... more »semi-rural setting with great views and an excellent shoulder for biking. The trail is great for road biking and normally takes 1-3 hours. This route includes heavy city traffic and all its hazards.
by bike from Noe Valley up San Bruno Mountain on Guadelupe Canyon Parkway and return on Mission St. 2 to 2.5 hours for this old guy.
I go over I-280 at ped bridge at bottom of St Marys Park, then straight across Silver to Mclaren park and follow the streets and contour line to San Bruno Ave to Old Bayshore Blvd straight across Geneva and then gradually start uphill and take right at Guadelupe Canyon Pkwy then long uphill. Summit is optional; coming back take first right at bottom of the hill by a school and then look for Hillside and go right. That will put you on Mission close to the top of the hill Daly City. Then it is all downhill heavy urban action and some green waves on Mission all the way back to Army St.
optional is halfway up the Guadelupe Canyon hill just above the traffic light and island, go left onto nice dirt path that goes uphill parallel to the road but is private and quiet and sheltered from the wind. Gd. path I do it all the time on my citybike with skinny commuter tires. less «
