Oaks Bottom Wildlife Refuge and Sellwood Park

This is a nice walk or mountain bike ride along a wetland full of birds with a return along the Willamette River.

Points of Interest

1. South End Parking 1

Park here next to the tennis courts or further north at POI #2 off of SE 7th Street.

2. Parking #2

This is a bigger lot specifically for the sports fields I think but feel free to park here to start out on the path.

3. North Parking Lot

You can park here if you approach the park from the north.

4. Return via Springwater Trail

Here you will take a right to connect onto the Springwater bike trail to return on the west side of the wetland.

5. View over Wildlife Refuge

A nice view across the wetland to residential houses on the other side from the Springwater on the Willamette bike path you will return on.

6. Sellwood Park

When you are nearly done with your ride head on over to neighboring Sellwood Riverfront Park to relax on the shore of the Willamette with a great view of downtown Portland over the water. You'll have a great view of the sellwood bridge as well.
