Points of Interest

1. Start here.

Turn left off Mule Canyon Road.

2. Mule Canyon Cut-Across Road

Bear right and continue north to go around Phillips Loop. Left here is the Mule Canyon Cut-Across Road. This takes you west and connects with the entrance to Doran/Odessa Loop (available as eGuide from FunTreks on EveryTrail).

3. Kramer Arch

The main route continues north uphill on a rocky shelf road then enters a sandy wash. Right here goes past interesting Kramer Arch and shortcuts to other side of Phillips Loop.

4. Loop Continues to right.

Continue to stay right to go around Phillips Loop. Roads to left go over and connect to Doran/Odessa Loop Trail north of the difficult parts. Left also connects with Wall Street Canyon Overlook Trail (available as eGuide from FunTreks on EveryTrail).

5. Reconnect with Mule Canyon Road

Phillips Loop reconnects with Mule Canyon Road at this point. You can head south back to starting point, or turn left and continue around Mule Canyon Road to Interstate 15. This way also connects with Wall Street Canyon Overlook Trail.
