12 May 2006  Lots of winter weeks enjoying the Key West sun.
3.5 of 5 stars based on 10 votes

There are dozens of great restaurants in Key West. While we like to try new ones each time we're there, some old standards just can't be beat.

  • 1. Alice's Key West

If I could eat in only one Restaurant in Key West, this would be the one. Chef Alice has won recognition all over the world, and after just one meal, you will know why. If you're lucky, she might come out to chat over dessert.

  • 2. Seven Fish
Seven Fish, Key West, Florida Keys

The dining room is small and reservations are a must, but it's always worth the wait.

  • 3. Square One
Square One, Key West, Florida Keys

The upscale decor and the piano player only add to the excellent contemporary cuisine.

  • 4. Cafe Sole
Cafe Sole, Key West, Florida Keys

The first time we ate here, the place was newly opened, and it gets better with each passing year.

  • 5. Blue Heaven
Blue Heaven, Key West, Florida Keys

Authentic Caribbean food in and authentic Caribbean atmosphere, the meals here always leave us satisfied.

  • 6. Cafe Marquesa
Cafe Marquesa, Key West, Florida Keys

The food is pricey, but it's definitely worth it.

  • 7. Billie's Bar & Restaurant

No vacation is complete without eating where the locals eat, and this is both authentic and unpretentious. Stop here after the sunset celebration at Mallory Square, and be sure to try the mango colada.
