Not to Miss in New Orleans
Amazing atmosphere, friendly folks, GREAT food and FANTASTIC music. This is definitely a don't miss in New Orleans!! Absolutely the highlight of our trip!
Go by the Visitor's Center near the French Market. They have live performances by the rangers. The one we saw was great and FREE!!
We had a great time.....Kevin was extremely entertaining and the recipes he taught were wonderful. A great time for all even those who don't cook!
My husband is not a fan of oysters on the half shell....but he went because I love them. In addition to the raw oysters, we ordered the chargrilled oysters. If we had enough time, we would have been back the next day. Prices were reasonable and the food was amazing.
Another great cooking class, the classroom overlooks the Mississippi river so the atmosphere was as good as the food.
We went for the jazz brunch. A little pricy at $28 per person, but the food was great and the music was good. The omelets and Eggs Benedict were fantastic. Don't miss the Glazed Sweet Potatoes!
We stopped here one morning for beignets and cafe au lait. Best beignets we had in New Orleans.
Definitely allow three hours to see the entire museum (if you don't watch the movies) Very interesting especially for my husband, a history buff.
The market has a number of vendors selling jewelry, bags, luggage, T-shirts and more. We found the prices to be less than the souvenir shops....plus they'll bargain!
We went to the Jazz Bistro. It was very pricy but the food was excellent, the service was great and the music was superb. This was our one big splurge.
Microbrewery with live music. We stopped in and had their Sampler. It was fun to try the different beers. Only disappointment was that they ran out of their special brew before we got back a couple of days later.
Food was reasonably priced. Absolutely have to stop by and get a $1 strawberry daquiri!
Very beautiful sanctuary and admission is free. Located in Jackson Square
