As a papermaker and museum and enthusiast, I was incredibly impressed by the museum of paper and the watermark. The tour guides are knowledgeable, the museum is well kept, and the building and equipment it houses are historic and beautiful. I especially loved that the gift shop carried items made right inside the museum. This museum was the highlight of my stay in Fabriano. I would recommend it to anyone, regardless of their level of prior knowledge about paper. Either way, when you leave this place, you will know a lot more about this historic and engaging practice!   "I have been fortunate enough to visit MCF twice in the last few years. The first trip was for two weeks on the Paper/Print/Books workshop and the second was for a self-directed art project. Both trips were incredible and only possible due to the kindness and enthusiasm of all the staff at the museum...". This is truly a unique resource for all things paper.
