"The reviews of this boathouse are right on, including Mr Grumpy - poor man, he's got a big problem - but the river is wonderful, and the teenagers who help launch you are sweet and knowledgeable about the birds and other wildlife on the river. We've been going almost every weekend between Mothers Da..."y and late October for about 20 years.
Now just one important warning no one mentioned: If it is windy, be VERY CAREFUL canoeing under the arched stone bridges. A sudden gust can blow your canoe against the low part of the arch, and - goodbye to you. Stone is unforgiving when it meets a head. So if a wind comes up, just wait it out until it calms, and then paddle like mad in the center of the arch, and you will be ok.

"This was a surprisingly enjoyable museum, much larger than it appears and well focused on what make Concord such a source of American Idealism. While have an abundance of artifacts from the Revolution, it is well done to support the evolution of these Concord thinkers and their cultural environment..." without overload of details. It is well worth a couple of hours and will recommend it to friends to include on visits to Concord, even tough we have driven by for over forty years.

"This area was haunting to me, a culmination of the day's events that ended here, starting in Boston Common with Lessons on Liberty, then the National Park Service tour of North Boston, and a drive in our car from there through Lexington and ending here. We didn't have time to explore the Minuteman P..."ark area and the Battle Trail but I would think that would add to the experience. Being in this place where it all started was an excellent experience.
