"Taking the kids to see the fish hatchery was a great way to spend 1/2 day on our vacation. They enjoyed walking around and seeing all the stages of fish growth and development. There really isn't a "program" so be prepared to simply walk yourself around and enjoy the scenery. It was a nice way to ge..."t away from the more crowded attractions but it is decidedly low key.

"they are extremely helpful and instructional if you are not savvy into cross country skiing. The Restraunt they have there is Delicious!....The whole atmosphere and surroundings are absolutely perfect. wonderful escape!"
"Cruised over the Tioga Pass to the Eastern Sierra's. Had to see Mono Lake. Spent about 2 hours hiking the shoreline, checking out the Tufas. The place just seems a little alien. It's a must stop. Get here for sunset as the lighting from the lake changes at the light disappears.
What I found ..."so interesting was that so many Northern Californians had never even seen this place. Put it on your list!
