"What a lot of fun this was, just too short!
We were picked up from the Pride of America and transported to the store of Kaua'i Backcountry Adventures where we were outfitted with helmet, head light, gloves and water shoes in preparation for our tubing adventure. We then had a 15-20 minute ride o..."ver some very rough terrain through a former sugar plantation to reach our launching platform.
All, there were 20 in our group, were launched into their tubes in, shall we say, invigorating, but clear and gently flowing water. Then the fun starts. The best description I can give it is dodgems on water only you have little control and just have to go with the flow. It was such fun and going through the 4 tunnels was amazing. Do look up at the ceiling in the tunnels, such wonderful colours.
All the staff were fantastic, 3 in the water with you, ensuring no one got into any trouble.
From the beginning you are warned not to pee in the water, as it is the towns supply!! So, make sur...

"I've taken this tour twice and it was fun both times. Loved the historical background that was given on the ditches themselves as well as the experience. We had teenagers to 70+ in our group and all enjoyed it."
"To start off with, our guides were great! Very personable and funny! We had about 20 in the group with 4 guides. Started out by driving up to the flume through a leased ranch. Very nice scenery the whole route. Once arriving at the starting point, instructions etc. and off we were. The water ..."is very pleasant, being from Oregon we know how cold snow run off can be, so this was a real treat! The ditch is about 2.5 miles long with a drop of 200’ or so. 5 tunnels, the longest one ¾ miles in length. The do provide hard hats, gloves and a head lamp. My wife, our friends and I just really enjoyed the float down. Once at the end, a small lunch was provided and back to the main office we went. Well worth the time and money to do.
