"We recently visited during the Red Wine & Chocolate weekend. The reserve wines they were offering were good, but pricey. They paired each with a treat (including a chocolate dipped jalapeno chip!). We had visited Silver Lake a few years ago and tried some of their other wines, which were also good, ..."and more affordable. We didn't buy anything this time around.
The location is great - up on the hill and just beautiful views. If you have the time, it looked like a great place to picnic and enjoy some wine.

"Maison de Padgett is a great place to visit while in WA Wine Country! We were here during the Red Wine & Chocolate Weekend. It was $3 for tasting, but you got to taste all 13 of their wines, instead of the usual 'choose 5' thing. And the names and labels of the wines are so fun!
The "Unzipped" wh..."ite pinot noir was interesting and we bought a bottle of that. The "Cash Cow" is a great value - $16.95 for a magnum. It makes a great table wine. We also loved the ports! Peach, Vanilla, and Coffee flavored. mmmmm I wish we could have bought all 3! but we decided on the "Pillow Talk" Vanilla.
The grounds are beautiful and looks like they'd be a great place to hold a small event. We hope to be back again in the future!

"The mantra of Paradisos del Sol is "sip, sip, bite, sip". The first sip to cleanse your palate, the second to get a feel for the wine, the paired bite to provide complexity, and the third sip to really taste the wine after the bite opens up the flavors. It's a fun and interesting way to taste wine! ..."The bites are really small, hardly bites at all. You get to try a variety of wines, from a dry white, to their "Zort".
They have a good "Under 10 buck" white and paradiso red. The tasting fee is $5, unless you spend $20. We were a little bit under $40 for the 3 bottles we bought, but the winemaker was kind enough to waive the tasting fees.
The tasting room has 2 areas so it can accommodate groups. The grounds are interesting, like a rustic farmhouse feel. There are chickens meandering the grounds.
Definitely worth a stop in your wine tour!
