"We've been to the riverside park for festivals and normal weekdays - this place is so fun and relaxing on a sunny day. We like to walk (you can go for miles along the river) and sit by the water in a sunny spot to watch people and birds. The Falls are awesome (and somewhat scary) and there are sever..."al smaller more relaxing water features (streams, water falls) built into the park. We visit the park weekly if we lived in Spokane.
For a park right next to downtown, it is hard to beat - parking is available in parked 2 blocks away (or metered street parking). The mall is one block away. There are ample restaurants nearby and plenty of nice spots to sit and eat in the park if you bring over carryout. There are a couple of places to get sandwiches or snacks in the park. Water fountains are present but limited, but there are soda machines scattered around. There are actual rides for kids (carousel, etc). Designated bike paths through park (but do be on watch for fast cyclists if on paths far...

"Had a wonderful time! Learned some interesting history about Spokane (Falls!) and had some delicious food, of course. Our guide Kim did a wonderful job!!!!"
"Riverfront park is a delightful place that seems like an addition to the Red Lion at the Park! Plenty of walking to be done and very easy access from the Red Lion to the remains of the Spokane World's Fair. Great place for a stroll, bike ride, or run. Safe and well lit at night too."
