"We did the Boeing Tour and were SO impressed! The tour is run really well. It is informative and entertaining. The size of the factory building is mind-blowing! Even the Dreamliners look quite small lined up end to end in this vast factory! We almost missed the Future of Flight Museum but were ..."glad that we didn't, although I would have been disappointed if that was all we had looked at, definitely, without a doubt, do the full tour.
From downtown Seattle, 4th Ave, you can catch the 511 bus to Ash Way Park and Ride and then the 113 bus to the 84th St W / 525 intersection (ask the driver to point it out to you) From there you have to walk about 1km to the Boeing facility. This costs $14 return, much cheaper than the "tour" options from Seattle, but it is quite a way so allow 2 hours of travel time in each direction if you choose the public transport/walking option.

Nonetheless, this is the only chance to be inside the building that holds the record of the largest indoor volume. You will witness planes in making including the legendary 747 and the new 787, plus the unique Dreamlifter. There are many production planes (like about 30+) of various models lining up outside on Paine Field where the center located. The tour guide will briefly talk about the stages during assembly with some touch ups in technologies and history. They may also likely be the employees who have actually worked on building these planes and talked about their personal experience as Boeing workers. By the way, 737's are bulit in Boeing Renton Fa...
