  "So here we are, Easter Sunday. It's a bit cold in Northern Va, spotty showers, gray and gloomy. Thank goodness we had 1 o'clock reservations at Mediterranean Cellars, thanks to my sister, who gave us a coupon and voucher for Christmas. Leaving the hustle and bustle of the major roads from the DC ..."area, we arrived at this beautiful little winery, right on time for our 1:00 tour. This small, yet comfortable, winery sits on top of a hill, overlooking the vineyard below. A fire in the outside stove on the patio, helped take the cold from the air. Our host Richard, gave us an interesting tour of the winery, explaining the methods undertaken by the owner, Louis Papadopoulos, in the growing of his grapes. At the conclusion of the tour, we met Ms. Papadopoulos, who served as hostess for our wine tasting. $6.00 for a 10 wine sampling....not bad at all. Nor were the wines. We liked many of the wines, and purchased a mixed case, consisting of their Viognier, Chambourcin, Romance, Cab Fran... " More >
