"what a beautiful place, the wildlife is very diverse and easy to see. get a bird guide if you go. easy to hike and very camera friendly. the only thing I disliked was that I had to leave."
"they really try to help the fishermen catch fish and the advice is to be heeded. it is my opinion that they truly want to help the sportsmen out and not just try to make a sale. these guys know what they are talking about and if you listen to the advice they give the odds of catching fish or crab..."s is greatly enhanced. every person I met at captain steve's was friendly and they answered all my questions no matter how stupid they must have sounded. I will go back here every trip down without any hesitation!

"Chincoteague National Wildlife Refuge is really beautiful. The beach was nice and was not littered with people. Everything is very clean. I recommend renting a bike in Chincoteague, and utilizing the bike trails. It's a lot of fun. I did not prepare myself for the bugs that I would encounter. The mo..."squitoes and horseflies are horrible and I was eaten alive. Even after applying deet the bugs would still get me. I was looking forward to seeing the lighthouse, but it was closed off due to renovation. Also tours to Tom's Cove were not opened. It was fun but after a few days it gets old. This is not a week vacation. I would only spend a few days.
