"We just had a great visit to Wells on Sunday 5th May 2013. There were 4 of us to include 2 very busy boys of 7 and 4. They really enjoyed the walk, they knocked on every fairy door and even waited to see if Ruby would come out to play. The boys were familiar with the Gruffalo stories in advance and ..."their little imaginations ran wild. The playground was very good, well kitted out, very safe and really clean, as was the petting farm. Boys loved the archery, the instructor was so patient. Very Impressive house with grounds to match.Loved the peacock.Quite an extensive menu and keenly priced, excellent service and catered for all ages. Kids slept all the way home and have not stopped talking about since. Great place, great value will return. Recommend tour of the house also as guide made it so interesting for the kids. We will be back soon.

"What an amazing afternoon starting with a fabulous lunch in Stone Kitchen (named for the former Cook) Crayfish and Salmon salads,a huge variety of freshly prepared choices by professional but friendly staff. Pristine washrooms! A great tour of the house by a warm friendly guide. The garden in the f..."ront of the house is superb with huge Rhododendrons! The walk through the crafters shops worthwhile some great talents and super products on offer. The forrest offering gravel paths with old amazing trees. Worth the walk to the well. This home with all it has to offer is worth every minute of the Drive. You can even partipate in Falconry on a Sunday. Today they are having a family barbecue! The owners must be praised for what they have done in such a short time to make this home alive again!

"We regularly use Courtown Woods when walking and there are a number of choices to make, from short walks to long. When it's been raining, I would advise walk along the road at the beach, tho' watch out for fast cars! The beach is lovely also, although be careful of the times of the tides - it's eas..."y to get caught on the rocks! Centra shop in the town sells coffee and a large muffin for 2Euro - excellent! Walk around the harbour itself and sit on the benches on the far side - nice for a picnic. The Taravie Hotel does an excellent lunch and the portions are huge! Enjoy!
