Ceardlann/Spiddal Craft & Design Studios is a small complex of craft workshops situated right on the coast of Galway Bay, with beautiful views of the Burren and the Aran Islands.Visitors get a chance to see some of Ireland's finest craft items being made right in front of their eyes. The crafts include Handweaving, Jewellery and Stained Glass making, Screenprinting, and various forms of art, Traditional Basket Weaving and a Photographic Studio. An Spailpin Fanach, the Irish Cultural shop, produces it's own unique designs in quality T-Shirts and Hoodies, as well as a wide range of books and music, representative of this Gaelic speaking area. The craft village also boasts one of the finest cafes in Ireland, An Builin Blasta. IIt certainly is well worth a visit.

"The craft shops are a great place to stop and pick up some real Irish crafts. Each shop is different and each shop has a great selection of wonderful art. Other shops seem to stock a lot of the same things... these craft shops, however, really have a lot of original and different items."
"What a lovely place to visit. Not just for tourists either: I spotted lots of items which would make great gifts, such as the semi abstract paintings all created by one talented lady, and the slightly sinister cow sculptures which really caught my eye! One shop sells fabulous hand-woven scarves, jac..."kets and rugs, another sells hand-made jewellery using old coins, beautiful stuff, while another had little soaps and candles which would make nice small gifts. There's a French bakery and restaurant there too which we didn't have time to visit, but it was full at 12pm on a rainy April Wednesday which says a lot! Will return, highly recommend.

"Always find something nice to buy here. Even got the Christmas shopping started.
How sad is that?
They have a great selection of clothing for men, women and the kid's stuff if brilliant.
Also good for kitchen things and gifts.
Nice little coffee bar too."
