Oregon's oldest estate winery and European Distillery. Our family invites you to experience our new world wines made using old world traditions. All of our artisan wines are crafted using grapes from dry farmed, old vine, hillside vineyards. This follows into the cellar where we use extended barrel ageing and fermentation of our reds in patented concrete fermentors. Oregon's most natural and traditionally made wines. Starting 2011 we will be introducing our French inspired fruit Eaux de Vies from Cherries, Apricot, Pear and wine grapes. FROMMERS- Best wines in Southern Oregon. Not sold in stores. Mention this ad for complementary tasting. Tasting Daily 11-5 March-Dec To the Genie in the bottle!

"My husband and I went there on our Anniversary. It was amazing! The tastings are actually given in their "wine cave". The staff are very well informed and gracious. We became "wine club" members as a result. Now I received 2 bottles of their wine monthly, plus great recipes to pair the wine with. ..." It is a great place to take out of town visitors!

"My wife and I love going out to Becker Vineyard in the summer time. We have gone with friends and taken games. The couple that runs the place are very nice people. Peggy (one of the owners) take time to pour each wine and give you a little back story on each. Willow the bloodhound and Mueller the gi..."ant black lab/St. Bernard are usually nearby, very friendly and happy to get any attention. They also have a spread of crackers, cheeses, meatballs (very tasty), nuts, salami, etc. You're encouraged to eat all you like as you sample the wines. At the very end as you're tasting the boldest of the reds, Peggy brings out her secret cherry fudge, which is very good. I try every time to get the recipe, but I can't blame her for not wanting to give it out. Great time, great people, and we enjoy supporting a business ran by such good hearted kind people. It's small, and cozy, but its one of our favorite local wineries.

"At the recent SIP wine event in McMinnville Oregon, my friend joined Abacela's wine club. A nice perk to the club for those of us in the Portland metro area is that you can pick up your wine in Portland instead of having it shipped. It would be great to go to the winery in Roseburg to get the club..." selections but sometimes, it isn't convenient to make the drive to Southern Oregon.
Abacela hosted a first class event at Ford Food & Drink on SE Division. They allowed my friend to bring guests which is how I ended up at the pickup party. Spanish style wines being sampled included Merlot, Grenache Rose, Viognier, Tempranillo, Albarino, Merlot and Dolcetto.
We got there around 5pm for the 4-8 pm event and it was packed! The wines or great weather or the fact that Abacela was just named 2013 Winery of the Year by Wine Press Northwest really brought out the crowd.
At the entrance, we checked in and were given Abacela tasting glasses. The wines were set up around the room with ...
