"This was the first time I have taken a canoe ride. It was a fun experience. My husband let me get into the canoe first. I didn't realize until we left shore that I should have let him get in the back and I should have been in front of the canoe then we would have been able to travel in a straight l..."ine. Oh well, it was a learning experience and we did manage to paddle straighter the longer we were out on the lake. If was fun and I would like to do it again. At least we didn't flip the canoe! We made it out and back safely before it started to rain too hard.

"I've ridden the tail a couple of times and I'd do it over and over again. This is not for a novice rider. On the other hand, if you don't try to over do it like some psychos you will be fine. If you do get someone tail gaining you, no pun intended, there are plenty of places to pull over and let the..."m pass. If your goal is to race down the highway good luck. I saw 2 cops the first time I rode it and last time I rode it two weeks ago a Blount County Sheriff was following a rider into the parking lot of the Dragon's Tail, the restaurant/gift shop/motel at the south end. There are several professional photographers on the side of the road and I I'd purchase some photos of myself. Check out their websites. It's free to browse and I bought a high resolution photo of myself for $6. Totally worth it

"It's a great highway with fantastic views. I'm a motorcyclist and this is one of my favorite rides. I like it more than the tail of the dragon in a lot of ways because the turns are bigger and sweeping and you can enjoy the panoramic scenery while you ride. There are plenty of overlooks and many if ..."not most have bathrooms. You will love this highway.
