  "We rented bikes at Barbara's Bike Shop in Dennisport and rode probably 6 or 7 miles one way. The trail was pretty level/flat and easy to ride - even for this plus size 50 year old who doesn't bike much. It was a nice ride. Nice views but nothing spectular. Several places where you have to cross ..."a road, but everyone seemed very courteous and stopped to allow bikes to pass. I would suggest studying the map before heading out. I wish we should have turned left at the 3 mile mark and headed to the Pleasant General Store for lunch. Instead we went to the right and had a more difficult time finding a place to stop for lunch and/or a town to stop and look around in. I should have done a little more planning ahead of time to see where to stop. It was hard telling from the stopping point on the trail if the town had a place to eat or things to look at. Very well marked for distance although in the middle aroud 12 mile post, the trail ends for 1/4 mile you have to go out on the road to get back on it. No signs event. We did not find any health food stops along the way or at eit..."her end. Candy shops, and junk food not our idea of good food on a ride, so bring something. Safe, only a few busy road crossings lakes, bogs and very park like. There's a nice beach at the trail end at Wellfleet. About a 1/2 mile to the right. At 10 MPH average speed, plan for the day.
