"I have been to Shaker Village 5 times, and each time I see something new. This time, my sister and I stayed two nights in the East Family Dwelling. The room was large and comfortable. "The Shaker Village is an interesting and thought-provoking site. Please take time to visit all the houses and buildings, including the museum tucked away in the back of one of the structures. And ponder on how this settlement fed and housed its many converts right up until the Civil War and provid..."ed them with a much better standard of living than others had in Kentucky at the time. You may also have a meal or even an overnight stay there to fully experience the peaceful setting.
