The gardens are worth a stop and an hour if you are in the area. (There was no fee when we were there - no staffing at all - but I read the entrance fee is $1.00 so this is a definite bargain.)   "My wife and I were married on the grounds and loved everything about the place. The facility is very well maintained and the grounds were beautiful. The covered pavilion was perfect for our event and we could not have been more pleased with the setting. It would be a great place to spend a quiet ..."afternoon looking at all the flowers and the old buildings. If I can also recommend, go to the wine or Beer Tasting. The wine tasting is in the spring and the beer tasting is in the fall and they were both excellent. The staff really outdid themselves for both events.
