I am a volunteer and each time I go in, it is a new and memorable experience! They are currently building a new facility f..."or the wolves and chimp. The owner is always working on giving each animal the most comfortable environment as possible. Most people don't know about regulations and care of these animals (double fences around all large animals, how much they eat, how dangerous it is to be in a cage with them...). Many of the animals at the zoo are old and have come to live out the last years of their lives. Some of them have hip problems, seizures, had a stroke, or can't be taken care of by previous owners. All the animals are taken care of by donations and admission fees...their food, living areas, and daily needs are all taken care of thanks to the public, volunteers and the family that owns the zoo!
