The ride there was nice, because we hardly ever see that part of the state. We had booked the 2:30 airboat ride (w..."e are not morning prople), but they also have two earlier times that you can book. Thr weather was perfect (70 degrees), the sun was out and it was slightly cloudy......perfect. But bring a jacket or sweater because it gets real chilly when the airboat gets going. The airboat was clean, just the perfect size (six tourists plus the captain) and Captain Carl was our tour guide. He navigated the airboat through the lake and all the marshes. with ease...We all felt very comfortable with him and his knowledge of the lake, the marshes and nature....there seemed to be no end to the water.   "Golfed here again on Mar. 22 with 2 gentlemen who'd never golfed here before. They were mesmerized by the 'cut out of true Florida' scenery. The course was in truly great shape and fun to play. Our friends enjoyed it immensely and wanted to return within a few days to play again. We played along ..."with no hold ups and completed the round in 4 hours. Nice. The fairways allowed for a bit of bounce and roll and the greens were their tricky best. The morning prices before 9 allowed for a wonderful round, at a fair price, at a great course. Their pro shop is well stocked and offers some good bargains. Food and drink are to be had in the canteen and eaten outside in the patio area or taken on the course. A nice driving range and a 19th hole for practice just add to the enjoyment at this course. " More >

  "I have played this course several times in the past three years and found it to one that needs to be managed. The fairways can be forgiving on one nine and brutal on the other. It is like playing two different courses. Once you have played it a couple times it is less intimidating to the average gol..."fer. It is priced higher than other courses in the area with fewer amenities; however, if you just want to play a well planned course with strategic water hazards, deep traps and some small greens...then have at it. It has a nice driving range. If this housing development had been able to materialize i am sure this course would be more well known. People have always been courteous to me and I don't go there for the food. Never had to wait for slow golfers. Four hours tops. " More >
