"The Japanese Tea Garden is part of the larger park owned and maintained by the city. We enjoy visiting this garden at different times of the year. There is always something to see with the seasonal changes. It is quite small, has paved walkways, is accessible, and easily explored in about an hour...". Afterwards, one can explore the rest of the main park which has a beautiful rose garden and some sculptures.

"Big park that has lots of play equipment for children, BBQ's and picnic benches for family gatherings, rest rooms, tennis courts, and a beautiful Japanese garden to enjoy. Seasonal concessions stand and stage with music from time to time. Lots of grass and big shade trees."
"One could easily spend all day here with the family and return for repeat visits. There are facilities for picnics, hiking, biking and running trails, boat launch, swimming, wind surfing, and incredible views of the ocean and the airplane landing at SFO. Nearby is the museum. The whole area is qui..."te beautiful and offers a huge variety of activities for all ages. Coyote Point can get very windy and chilly, even in the summer time when it is hot elsewhere, so be sure to bring a jacket.
If you're visiting the Bay Area for the first time, this is not a must-see. If you live in the area or visit often, then this is definitely worth a visit and may just become one of your favorite outdoor, backyard playgrounds.
