"Nick organized a thoughtful three-day road trip for me and my friend in April 2013, with Rodrigo as our guide. In addition to being a patient, good-natured guy in general, Rodrigo seemed to know something about everything (geology, food, culture, history, wildlife, the Salta wine industry, the loca..."l UFO lore) and added so much to our trip with his commentary as well as his presence. We visited pre-Incan ruins, national parks, a vicuna refuge, museums, and a few wineries in our very full (but not rushed) three days. One of the best trips I have ever taken.

"Not being in Salta on saturday, I could not use the train. I ordered a remis at my hotel (the Delvino Boutique one) and was driven along the tracks. I think the travel by train is a very good one, but that the road is also a great choice : you can see the track and all the bridges, and stop wherever..." you want.
The last "viaducto" at Polverilla is definitely astounding.
