There has been talk by the City Council for the benefit of Tourists ( Particularly those from Overseas ) of keeping out undesireable elements ( Beggars and pickpockets ) by fencing off and charging an entrance fee the area including historic buildings around Pretoria Church Square and seperately the area known as Museum Mall .
It is a part of the City and thus the city roads are available for you to use your car to get to each of the included Museums which each have their own secure Car parks...

"Beautiful, family friendly, a great spot for a picnic! Spent a lovely Sunday at a friend's birthday here, and so beautiful and memorable for all ages!"
"We enjoyed our day out at the Pretoria Zoo. Parking is safe and cheap. Entrance fee is reasonable for a whole day's entertainment.
Some of the facilities are in need of attention and modernisation but the animals are well cared for with adequate space. Some animals could do with companions thoug..."h. The newer exhibits are world class.
