Absolutely one of the very best experiences we've had touring touted landmarks! We toured the Great Room, one of the two available tours. And we look forward to completing the other tour on our next visit. All the facilities were top rate, professionally organized and run, and full of valuable and interesting insight and information on what was simply amazing to see and experience. Our tour guide, Ed, was enthusiastic, knowledgeable, informative, affable, humorous, and genuinely interested in ensuring our tour group learned and enjoyed the visit to this unique cave. And I can't ignore thanking the Kartchner family and the state of Arizona for saving and making this treasure available for us, and so many others, to enjoy. Well done to all!

My husband and I scheduled a tour a few days ago, and it was absolutely the highlight of our trip! The people here are so kind hearted, and we had an awesome time with Tish as she introduced us to each and every donkey. We loved this place and definitely hope we get the chance to come back!

Wow. This was a wonderful stop. Extremely friendly and helpful staff that is able to answer any questions you may have about the area. Suggestions were made for places to visit. My husband "drove" the train that goes around the inside of the building. This is also a museum.

I would give it a solid 7. It was a lot of fun to read and see a d the dinosaur eyes follow you! Someone put a lot of time and effort into it. It wasn't packed we were the only ones in there. That was definitely a plus!

Our time in Arizona at Double R Ranch was so much fun. This was our second trip, and a third will hopefully be in the not too far future. Choosing the 4 day trip was a great decision. The scenery was as spectacular as last time, maybe moreso. And last but not least, we got to see Ron, Trina and the ranch hands again!! Loved every minute!

Great murals that depict the railroad history. Make sure to stop at the visitor center. Pups are welcome and treats are on hand.

Very, very clean and well-maintained, in this aspect it's the best RV park we've seen. All park streets are wide, nicely paved and curbed, making this seem like a real neighborhood, not just a temporary park. Parking pads in pull-through sites are paved and the rest of the sites are nice landscape rock with picnic table. Back-in sites are all landscape rock. Nice tall trees which also make the park feel like a real neighborhood. You will notice park workers going around maintaining the park through-out the day, such as sweeping the rock back into the sites if it got out onto the street. That is how clean they keep it. There are three dog relief areas which the residents and workers keep well maintained and clean. There are activities throughout the week and also the observatory which you can read about on their website. Clean bathroom and showers. There is a full grocery store in very close walking distance. There doesn't seem to be much to do in the town of Benson itself but the towns of Tombstone and Bisbee are not too far away. In my opinion, Tombstone was just a giant tourist trap in a negative sense, just a few attractions such as a slow stage coach ride a few blocks around the town and re-enactment of the shoot-out involving the Earp brothers (behind walls, with a cost), a few restaurants and lots of souvenir crap shops. I would recommend the town of Bisbee as a half to full day trip. There are better gift, gallery and antique shops there and better restaurants. You can also tour a copper mine (we did not so can't review that). J.F. Thamm was the best quality art gallery. Old Bisbee Roasters is highly recommended for a great cup of coffee (I bought a lb. of beans to bring home). The owner was very friendly and sharing about his various bean sources.
I only have a few negative comments about Butterfield RV Park. One is that I forgot to ask for AAA/AARP discount when I reserved. I asked when we got there and was told that yes they have it but it was too late to get it. What? They can charge my credit card but can't make a credit to it? Doesn't pass the smeller test and this is not the way to keep happy customers. The second comment is regarding rude, derogatory and unkind political flags that were apparently allowed in at least three of the sites. I'm perfectly fine with political signs that support a candidate or an issue but not fine with signs whose only intent is to insult, belittle, and be rude to a person or group of people. The irony is that in the list of guest rules and regulations the owners ask for common courtesy from all and prohibit profanity and threatening language so the owners aren't following their own rules. The signs I'm referring are a clear message telling someone to get f***ed, and by implication telling a whole party the same. This is clearly rude, bullying, and juvenile (no matter which party it might come from) yet the park allows it.

Lovely loop hike--I went to the right to start the hike and am glad I did. Lots of descending switch backs coming back. Enjoyed hearing a few moos, and seeing some livestock along the way. The stream crossings were also fun. This was a great activity after doing the cavern tours.

Found this spot while geocaching in the area. Really interesting place, and the volunteers are informed and helpful. Places like this need to be maintained. Take some time and look around. Great spot to inform kids and grandkids about the past.

I found this church near the Highway 80. It was lovely.

The doors were red and the church is beige.

    Church starts at 10.00A.M.

There was a lot of parking places.

On Mondays they have a movie at 1P.M.

There is an attachment with the church. It is a lovely place where we can sit and

talk with one another. We are safe from the heat.
