"We came hear for the sand boarding and because I really wanted to see an oasis. It is an amazing sight seeing a lagoon surrounded by sand dunes, an oasis was something I'd only seen in movies and really wanted to see first hand. It nice to sit around and relax but the water itself is not very nice a..."nd swimming is not advised. A day with sand boarding and dune buggy ride is definitely enough time here.

"If you are reading this you must be deciding weather to visit or not... DO IT! The dune buggy ride through the sand dunes is so unbelievably awesome (and a little scary) and definitely the highlight. The sand boarding is pretty fun if you've never done it before but it's included with the buggy ride..." so hope n and have fun. The views are spectacular so don't forget your camera as there are plenty of stops to take photos. A day here is enough but don't miss it!

I have also stayed the night in Huacachina, but more than one night would have been too much. A note about dune buggies and sand boarding: 1. You can rent a sand board, walk up the nearest sand dune, and propel yourself down. I would not recommend this, as you miss the thrill of the dune buggy. 2. Skip the sand boarding and just enjoy the dune buggy ride. I usually can't resist a bit a sand boarding, ...
