"while on expat assignment in POA, we lived in the neighborhood. We walked 2 blocks to get to this park. We were very fortunate to have this venue so close. Great walking/jogging paths. Great people watching. Quite busy most of the time... albeit, always very calm and comfortable. Good juice ba..."rs, coffee shops, cafes, restaurants around the park. The windmill and pond are fun... but as another reviewer commented.... this is not a tourist destination... rather, a very nice park for locals.

"The park is at about 3-4 hours driving from Porto Alegre, and the best time to visit is from December to March, when you can see a lot of migrant birds that bested there for while. You can stay in Tavares or Mostardas, and there are local companies that make tours to the park and other locations. It..." is beautiful, don't miss it!!
