Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

What travellers are saying
- Holly AVermont1 contributionWhile the hike up Snake Mountain from the Addison trailhead is still quite lovely, the trail on the eastern side of the mountain, which begins in Weybridge, has been almost completely destroyed by a logging operation this summer. Once the logging operation is finished (I have no idea when) perhaps the eastern trail will begin to recover. Right now it is a muddy, blighted mess. If you want to hike Snake Mountain in fall 2023, the Nature Conservancy trail from Addison is a better choice.Written 16 September 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Richard HKingman, AZ90 contributionsOpposite the light house spot, is camping available. Very rich in our history as a country. Peaceful spot to just relax and take in our history, and wonder how they did this way back........Written 28 August 2018This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Richard HKingman, AZ90 contributionsNice spot to camp at, Goodies cree-mee stand not far away, along with WAGS store. Views of Adirondacs are really good from here, watch the sun go down, head back to camp site for fire and conversation.Written 9 September 2018This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - merry_vermontPanton, Vermont164 contributionsI've lived near this mansion/museum for over 40 years and had never paid it a visit. I must admit how truly surprised I was when I took the tour. This is an absolutely gorgeous home. It was built after the end of the American Revolution but the owner had lived on the property prior to that time and had fought in that war. The story of John Strong and his family is extremely interesting--and not just to history buffs. The rooms are furnished with period pieces. The tour guides are local DAR members who volunteer their time on weekends during the summer. The tour can be as long or as short as you want it to be. If you want to really delve into the history the guide will do that for you or she will give a quicker tour to those who just want to hear the high points. Generally speaking there are no big groups so you pretty much get a private tour. The price is right too. I believe it's $5.00/$3.00 for seniors and a discount given for a family.Written 19 May 2015This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - WmHildyMaplewood, NJ80 contributionsWe stop by here occasionally with the grandkids. Everyone really enjoys it. The golf course is all natural with rocks, bushes, plantings, etc. I am always impressed with the design/layout of the course. Someone spent a lot of time to get it just right. The kids were 3-9 years old & they all enjoyed it. There is a nice gift shop/office in front of the course.
We always stop after mini-golf and get ice cream at Goodies, a short distance away. The kids always want to play the 9 hole course twice.Written 25 August 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. The whole was SUCH a blast; from the sheer excitement and joy of the adventure, to the one-of-a-kind gems that are their staff, to their generous accommodations (we brought our puppy, thinking I would have to stay with her and not jump, but they happily let her hang with the staff when we couldn’t be with her!!!), this was a day that we will remember and will spark our souls forever!!
Hanging out in the sun on a beautiful day, with lots of loving pups, such kind, funny, adventurous people- there is no where else I would have rather been on this day!
If you are considering skydiving at all, I cannot recommend this crew enough. I was definitely a little scared despite having jumped years ago, but when I was up there, Brian and Donovan made it truly as easy as I could imagine, minimizing my fear and maximizing my excitement and joy!!
Koko and Nick and Mike (?) were also such fantastic people that contributed to the absolute perfection of this day, along with Brian and Donovan, who I flew with. My partner and I are already planning our next trip out to at least say hello to these awesome people (and pups!!)Written 5 June 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
