Boquete is the center of rock climbing and rappelling in Panama!With last volcanic eruption of Baru volcano 500 years ago, massive flows of lava covered great part of the region creating solid basalt rock walls all over the valley. Like a masterpiece of art, nature created incredible and unique geometrical columns of rock with vertical and horizontal curvatures. Now, almost 500 years after this volcanic event, a group of local climbers leaded by Canadian climber Gary Henning exposed the rock formations to the world and safety developed the first climbing routes. Then local climbers established the first organized Tour guide service calling it Panama Rock Climbing.A decade after and following the same tradition of good practices and quality of climb development, Panama Rock Climbing continues offering the same professional hi quality tours, guiding services and supporting the development of rock climbing.Now a day, travelers and mountaineers from all over the world visit Boquete and try Panama rock climbing's famous routes suitable for all levels and experiences. With contributions of Panamanian organizations, Boquete Municipality, and the support of local community, Boquete is now a day the Mecca of rock climbing in Panama with a considerable number of safe and elegant classic sport routes, multi pitch routes, amazing waterfalls descents, climbing projects and great athletes and guides.

Free wi-fi and computers with internet are available, while the 3rd floor art gallery features monthly displays from local artists. Check the online calendar for concerts and activities. Open Mon-Sat 10am-7pm
