"Visiting Lombok is not complete without visiting Gili islands. Trying snorkeling in those islands. There are some nice hotels, cafe, resto and club to enjoy with. "
"Excellent trip, Day1 started at 07.00 cool but became hot and humid with rain just as we got to base camp at 2600m by 13.30, fantastic sunset & a good curry (light on the chillies though!). Day2 cool and clear to the summit, hard graft on the grit/gravel mountain especially with the drop off on eit..."her side in the dark!! At the top for the sunrise then a fast scramble down to base camp in 55 minutes!! Had a great breakfast of egg sandwich and salty chips whilst fending off the local monkey troupe ;-) Continued down to the start and made it by 12.07 ready for the transfer to the beach.
Our guide Daniel from Rinjani Trekking Club was great fun and ensured those less able in the team were looked after at all times, the porters were great, I have no idea how they go up and down with so much to carry in flipflops! Cooked great food too.

"First of all, I must admit that I didn't do enough research before signing up for the 3D2N package to the summit starting from Sembalun and ending in Senaru. Therefore, I did underestimate the thoughness of this hike. On day one, there seems to be no end to the climb. On day two, we woke up at 2.30 ..."am and had three heavy hikes (at times more rock climbing than hiking) till 18.00 pm. On day three, there was no end to the descent and after three days of intense hiking our legs were about to give up. No doubt, this is a very demanding hike and it is not suitable for anyone not in fit condition. If you're not used to lots of exercise, be prepared to suffer and push yourself to the limit. That being said, we did it, and have no regrets! The hike is amazing and the views are breathtaking.
It was worth all the pain :)
We booked the trek with Galang Ijo trekking and can recommend it. A special mention for our excellent guide Sukri. He was very helpful and patient. A pleasure to be with for ...
