"We visited this landmark about a year ago and found it to be very interesting for contemporary Chnese history. The residence itself is nothing to brag about, but seems authentic to the period of luxury residence design. The history musem however is much more informative for anyone who likes to know ..."about 20th century Chinese history. It is definitely a highlight for the visit in Zhongshan, China.

"Zhongshan is less developed than other cities such as Chengdu and Guangzhou in China. It is nice to see the local lives which you are not able to see in other big cities. People in Zhongshan are still using tricycles as public transport. Hawkers are selling foods and merchandises with laid-back life..."styles. Some old houses could still be found near to pedestrian street. You could sit by the river, seeing it without someone coming to bother you and selling you things. Sadly, it is giving way to the new development of international chain stores. Construction sites are everywhere. So if you would like to see a different/less developed city in China, you had better go there now than latter.

"This restored historical area is well worth a visit if you are in Zhongshan. It is rather charming that most of the structures were built in 18th cenrury European style. It consists mostly clothing and sports stores of Chinese manufacturers. However, there is a lack of varieties as the stores tend t..."o reappear after another 150 yards. It is a nice stroll on a sunny day. The down side is the lack of any decent place to eat on this street.
