First, we’ll go to the "Inti-Nan" In-Situ Museum (at about 2400 meters above sea level, about 7800 feet), where you can see replicas of the Ecuadorian Highlands and Amazon and, of course, to learn about the Quitu-Cara culture, their comprehension, long before the Geodesic Mission, on the stars, and, therefore, the empowerment of the term "Center of the World"; this visit takes about 45 minutes (entrance not included). After this, we’ll head to the Old-Town; our first stop is the Basilica, an impressive Gothic style temple, where we’ll also appreciate the 2 other viewpoints of the downtown; from here, our tour will continue on foot. We’ll make an easy down-hill walk through Garcia Moreno Street (a.k.a. the Seven crosses street), up to the Plaza Grande and the surrounding buildings (the Presidential and Archbishop's Palaces, the City-hall and the Cathedral) Then, we’ll continue to visit the Jesuits’ church ("La Campania de Jesus"), a beautiful temple built early in the 17th century (entrance not included)

Built in 1911, historic Hacienda and 135-hectare Alegria Farm are in the verdant heart of the Avenida de los Volcanoes. These beautiful pasturelands are home to more than 200 cows and calves, 48 horses and foals, dozens of llamas and alpacas, and more. It’s the perfect place to learn about hacienda life, which includes milking cows, riding horses, animal care, and taking carriage and hay rides. Visit us for a few hours or a day.

"I have just returned from a wonderful trip to the Galapgos Islands, Ecuador. Magus Cuisina from Galapagos Travel was superb to work with. Every detail was arranged and we did so in such short order. Just two months from beginning to departure. I was traveling w/ my mother, 82 and had many specif..."ic needs and requests. Magus arranged and planned every detail of our cruise aboard the Athala, a smaller catamaran w/ only 14 guests. The crew was 8. Our cruise, 8 days 7 night was beyond wonderful. Our connections to and from mainland Ecuador were smooth and well timed. We stays 3 extra days on Santa Cruz Island in Puerta Ayora at the Angermeyer Hotel.
Magus was always prompt in responding to my e mails and answered all questions in detail.
I highly recommend Magus. (Just an FYI; two stateside travel agencies were not able to help w/ my specific needs and vessel request. ) From the moment I started communicating w/ Magus the whole trip came together smoothly and with much profession...

"This tucked away museum explained the history of the area through the art collection. Easily spend all morning there. And the museum itself is fascinating. Do go....."
"This was one of the highlights of my visit to Quito! I learned a lot about the history of the indigenous people. The tour guide spoke very good english and was very knowledgable. I loved all the demonstrations on the equator line. If your in Quito, you must visit this location."
