Honestly a little scary experience Ziplining lol I had to remind myself to breathe. It was my first time Ziplining and we chose to do the biggest one. It was well worth it. Spanish speaking instructors which I was kind of scared of because I don’t speak Spanish but I managed to understand the instructions. There were plenty of others in the group that also didn’t speak Spanish. It was just a quick demonstration less than five minutes.

Everyone is a pro here and the equipment is in nice condition. They have constant eyes on you making sure everything is secure and 100% ready.

Credit card and cash are accepted. Make sure you have cash, 10Q per person per each direction in a tuktuk, no need to tip. Can walk but it is dangerous and not recommended to do so as there is a blind turn before the entrance.

Zipline admission includes park admission. They allow small Fanny packs, think lululemon everywhere bag. Sunglasses we were allowed to wear since we had the neck lanyard. We brought a plastic water bottle and drank it along the way, they provide water after like the fourth zipline I can’t remember. But if you bring your own bottle you’ll probably have to stuff it in your bra and carry it with you the entire way since there’s no trash cans on the trail.

The main selling point of this hotel is the extraordinary location- incredible views across beautifully maintained gardens, all the way across Lake Atitlan. It's easy to sit for hours going at this view, and you certainly get charged for the privilege.

Staff very friendly and helpful, many speaking good English.
Good breakfast, excellent coffee, freshly squeezed juices. High standard of room service meals also.

The negatives would be that the rooms, or mine anyway, are surprisingly bare - no fridge, no snacks, no water provided in the room (there is a filtered water tank in the bathroom, but not chilled), seemed a little ungenerous at over 200usd per night? Also, hot water in the room only between 0700-10h00 was a surprise at this price.
As I've said above , it's all about the view, and that does distract a great deal, but for the price and claimed standard, should be a bit more effort I think.

I lived in Pana for 12 years, and this church was my parish church. There is such a wonderful feeling of peace and calm when services aren't happening. If you are going to attend Mass (please do!), get there early because it's standing room only. There is a full band for Mass and some beautiful soloist singers. If you can visit on Thursday Evening during the Rosary and Eucharistic Adoration, the lighting and atmosphere is mesmerizing. You don't have to be Catholic to attend services. All are welcome! Fervent Christianity is a huge part of the culture here, so come experience it! Check out an Evangelico service too!

We popped in here due to guide book recommendation. This place was a hot spot in the late mid 1940’s
They display photos of a by gone day when the railroad and postal services were here. We enjoyed the nostalgia

We went to Museo Arqueologico Azul Maya twice for breakfast. The restaurant has a very nice and quiet garden where you can relax before starting your day. The food was very good, as was the service. Very good quality for price ratio!

To get a better understanding of Lake Atitlan, it's cultural and natural history, visit this small museum. Takes about an hour. Make sure you see the basement room as well.

This location is a cute shop that sells hand-painted ceramics. I took several products home- one was meant to be a gift, but it was so lovely that I couldn't let it go! However, do not be deceived, this location on Calle Santander is just a store to purchase their products. At least one review made it sound like this is the place where the pottery is made- not true. Also, be aware that you can purchase the products from this company in San Pedro as well in a shop uphill from the docks.

This was my first activity upon arriving in Pana from Guatemala City. I had my tuk tuk drop me off here from my B&B. You must pay the entrance fee in cash, but the operator was able to make change since I only had large bills to start.

This is a small but interesting collection. There is a topographical map of Lake Atitlan and its surrounding villages. The museum details (in English and Spanish) the history of the area. Excavations were done both on land and in the lake. There are pottery and stone displays. It takes maybe 20 mins to review it all.

Outside the main museum is a secondary room focusing on the underwater exploration. You must remove your shoes to walk inside but it's a cool immersive experience, like being underwater.

Enjoyed lunch in this restaurant. Service was excellent. Had the avocado salad (enough for two) and the onion soup, which were both tasty and satisfying.

Amazing store. Highly recommended. Everything you need and the staff is super friendly. We had the chance to meet the owner, and she's very polite and has great recommendations for each customer.

I had never seen such a beautiful bridge. Incredible journey on that bridge... Wish I could have stayed a little longer on that place. What a bridge...
