Great date and ‘friends nite out’ environment. Quaint vineyards - not particularly big. Most if not all dining is courtyard/outdoors - just behind the vineyard home. We were seated by a host. Pizza shack in the back with pizza oven, small building where you purchase wine and meals by the entrance with a counter for ordering and some souvenirs. It is clearly marked everywhere that tips are built into the prices, which I overall found to be very reasonable. Service is a bit different as you order everything and carry your drinks back to your table, and one of the many servers bring your food. They checked back frequently to see if everything was ok. Lots of young folks serving so- again - I didn’t mind the fact that tips were built into the price. I may have added a couple bucks when I checked out. Total for pizza and a couple rounds of wine was mids $60s.

What a Great facility with tons to do. But make sure you are ready to walk a tons due limited parking. There are few restrooms for the number of people attending an event. They also ran out of food at concessions. The parking situation is pitiful. Maybe a parking garage would help with this situation or a shuttle to help people get to their events. The majority of the employees are kind and helpful except for the park patrol - they are disrespectful and combative when asked questions. The hospitality of Sand Mountain Park is not what it was when it first opened. Shame on you SMPA.

Shepherd's Cove supports Hospice by offering a vast variety of donated merchandise at very reasonable prices. When we visited, all books were reduced to 25 cents each; CD's are $1 each; clothes are very clean and freshly washed. Furniture and kitchenware were very reasonable, although selections can vary since nothing is kept on hand as stock items. Displays are neat and spacious with very good lighting.
For treasure-hunting folks, Shepherd's Cove is a high end option to beat inflation and find unique assortments of things, including some legitimate antiques.
