St Patrick's Well is located near Clonmel a short distance south of the main Clonmel, Cahir road. It is an old religious site situated in a sheltered glen where a large volume of spring water continuously wells up from underground. The church was built in the seventeenth century, but there are traces of an even older building. Inside the walls is the tomb of Nicholas White of Clonmel who died in 1622. At the centre of the small lake is a weathered Celtic Cross which dates from early Christian times in Ireland.

"You find it on the Dungarvan road first left turn past the housing estate 'Kilmacomma', you travel upwards for about 2 miles and see a sign for Carey's Castle on the left hand side just past the water treatment plant. There is a car-parking area and a map just inside the turn in and if you take the ..."path with the barrier at the car parking area and this takes you directly to the Castle (a short walk) but you can take the other unbarriered path and go the long way round by the wooded areas if you prefer. We have put up some photos of the Castle/area so you can see for yourself what it is like. We found it clean a few cans/bottles here and there but generally not too bad, so must have been cleaned since last review we read on here about bags of rubbish etc. There are circles of stones set out here and there from picnic/camping fires, all situated by long fallen trees so you have a place to sit and by the parking area there are picnic tables too so you could spend a lovely day out here.

"This is a nice shopping centre with a good selection of shops. Could do with a few more as there are a few empty units but is still a nice place to shop. Also a clean well kept shopping centre"
