It is quite a strenuous walk, especially the 1,000 stairs down to Positano at the finish. To pick up on some of the low marking reviews; There are handrails for most of the walk and the path is in very good condition. The local authority have worked hard to provide hand rails, picnic tables and netted the high cliffs so you are much safer from rock falls. There is a higher path which is the original Sentiero degli dei. When you reach Colle Serra facing the stone wall turn right up the track marked with the red and white CAI lines.
