Copenhagen's Nyhaven, or "New Harbor," is actually steeped in a long heritage. Colorful buildings line the canal and hint at a history of small-vessel traffic. Like many ports, this strip has a salty history, rich with sailors, drinking and literary exploits. Danish author Hans Christian Andersen made his home in Nyhavn as well. It's cleaned up now and is a lovely place for a stroll.

"Comfortable, reasonably priced and the guide was knowledgeable (and spoke fluently in Danish, English and Italian!) On a sunny day there can't be many better ways to see Copenhagen. The tour stopped by a wide range of the key sights and was a very pleasant way to spend a peaceful hour, while still..." getting to see the city and learn some of its history.

"Great tour with Rikke! Hilarious stories, a lesson in Danish and more history than I knew Copenhagen had. We even saw Princess Mary! Huge group but the guide still made sure everyone had a chance to talk and ask questions, and she was definitely loud enough for all of us to hear her!"
"Plan to spend a good few hours at Glytotek so you can fit in a visit to the restaurant for brunch (very yummy!) and sit for a few minutes in the inside garden in the main hall. The statue displays are exquisite."
