We were only able to enter the modern church on the other side of the Basilica as there was a mass being prepared right in front of the latter but the overall experience was absolutely beautiful. We saw hundreds of people kneel-walking to the Sanctuary and a very long line with people waiting to offer 5-feet tall candles into a burning furnace. You could feel God and his Mother amidst the huge crowd and this has become a definite place we are considering a return trip to.
