The Shamrock Irish Bar is situated in the lively centre of Albufeira’s Old Town . We can be found upstairs on the first floor next to The Hotel California shopping centre. As the only Irish Bar on the main 'bar street' (Rua Candido Dos Reis) it is popular with tourists looking for a unique experience! Throughout the season we play traditional Irish music. Come along and join in our live sessions. If you're a budding musician yourself, we welcome you to rock out on the guitar or perhaps the tin whistle! ♫ The bar has two large screen satellite televisions, showing all premier football matches, rugby golf and horse racing. Of course we show GAA, Irish games. Fully air-conditioned - Two large screen satellite TVs - Pool table - Free Wi-fi- and of course,- Live music. Opening hours are from 2pm to 2am (doors to the shopping centre close at 12:00am) so make sure you get there early! We are a little tricky to find, so keep an eye out for our Shamrock bar flags flying above the popular 'bar street'. Cead mile failte!

There are images that fill our imagination. Certainly, lying on a deck chair on a deserted island with a cocktail in your hand is an experience that is part of your dreams. As such, Animaris invites you to turn that dream into reality. The Desert Island, in Faro, is one of the islands that protects the Ria Formosa from the impact of the ocean. It is one of the greatest natural treasures of the Algarve that has been maintained in its purest and wildeststate. It has an extension of 11 km of white sand and the only relevant building built is the Estaminé Restaurant. The warm and crystal clear waters invite you for a dip. Take the time to relax and enjoy the natural beauty that surrounds the conceded area on the beach to Animaris who also provide deck chairs and awnings for your comfort. Away from the hustle and bustle that characterizes the Algarvian beaches during the bathing seasons; on the Desert Island you will always find the space and tranquillity to enjoy your privacy. The practise of non-motorized nautical sports and the wooden gangway around the Island that leads up to the southernmost point of Portugal (Cape of Santa Maria) are other options that we offer our visitors. We recommend that you start your day with a boat tour through the Ria Formosa channels. When you arrive at the Ilha Deserta settle in comfortably under the shade of an awning and enjoy the beach. At lunch time delight yourself with grilled scaled bass accompanied by a magnificent Algarvian wine at the Estaminé Restaurant. Save some time to try out the nautical sports that we have for you.

"My family, 4 adults and 5 children, went to Krazy World yesterday and had a fantastic time. The kids fed the animals, watched the information talk with the animals, we took a picnic, went on the go garts, played crazy golf, fed the birds and had an all round brilliant time. The staff were friendly...", especially the young trainee boy who helped the childen hold a baby goat and feed the birds in their avary!

"If driving across the Algarve, as we were, use the N125. It parallels the A22 motorway ( more or less ), but without incurring the toll charges and you will see more of Portugal. The N125 will get you most of the way to Sagres and then take the N268 for the final part. Continue straight ahead, passi..."ng Sagres town on your left, up to the crossroads with Forteleza do Sagres ( Sagres Fort ) in front of you, head straight across towards the fort.
There is plenty of free parking here and even a little café in the lower end of the car park. Free entry to the fort up to 2pm. The fort itself takes the form of a curtain wall across the narrow neck of a peninsular with sheer cliff faces of about 80 metres high. The fort has a central gateway with entrance passageway and bastions either side from which to defend itself with crossfire. Cannons were situated around the perimeter of the peninsular to defend this corner of Portugal against anyone with the temerity to attempt an attack. These cannons...
