  "In the centre of the twon. Imagine it would get very busy during skiing season. Even in the middle of summer it was well used. Great views back down the valley"

On my way up to Wengen, at Lauterbrunnen, I parked my luggage with the train station for 3CHF and took the cable car up to Murren (10.8CHF @half fare). Lovely resort villa..."ge, with pretty timber houses. Under gd sunshine, the thick snow capped mountains with blue sky backdrop looks heavenly beautiful. Round trip ticket fr wengen to Jungfrau cost 87CHF with my half fare card. Besides the Sphinx terrace there is another open air viewing area on the opposite exit from the summit station which offers more close up view of the glacier. " More >
