"The Montefeltros were the first rulers of The Duchy of Urbino, a sovereign state of Northern Italy. I am sure you've seen the famous Pietro dela Francesca portrait of the Duque of Urbino (mid XV Century) but here, in the Palazzo, you can see the very same area where he was giving audiences. There is..." even a digital hologram trying to give you a better idea of how it looked in the ancient times. As if this was not enough, the Palazzo has a wonderful collection of paintings, a dazzling room with delicate wooden inlaid panels, delightful yard and an airy terrace where you can enjoy an "apperativo" while admiring the vista. Not to miss, well worth the 5 Euros admission price.

"Gubbio is a lovely old city to walk around with some great views from the town square.
The cable car is something else - it takes you to the top of the local mountain (more lovely views, very good restaurant at the top), and it does so in a unique manner. Going up is great, but coming down the cag..."e that you stand in gives fantastic and unrestricted views out over Umbria.
The staff manage the cable car extremely well - they look after people with reduced mobility, or small children, so that it really is a ride that anyone can, and should, do.

"This man has built so many palaces, castles, wall cities in his own style. A man of demand. Been to see 5 of his cities one is called Cagli but not a good example as some of it is not intact but what there is, its fantastic A Theatre there is to die for, the inside is so fantastic it needs to be see..."n or even attend an event if you are lucky enough, I was.. This man has a style all of his own and I can understand why so many Princes wanted him to design palaces, castles etc for them. Most of the walled cities are lived in, not just coffee shops, tourist traps but real people living in a remarkable house built so long ago.
