"We stumbled upon the market by accident on a sunday morning while looking for a restaurant and decided instead to buy food at the market and some wine at a nearby store and do a picnic in a park in Cannes. The whole thing as a memorable experience, from the shopping to the eating, topped off with wi..."th a nap in the park. What a great way to spend a Sunday on the côte d'Azure!
The market is quite busy and very animated which makes for an exciting ambiance. Merchants offer a wide variety of products to choose from and everything looks so fresh and tasty: cheese, olives and tapenade, charcuteries, fish, meat, fruit and vegetable, spice, bread, pizza cooked in a portable oven, etc. It's easy to be overwhelmed by all the choices but the merchants are very generous with their explanations and will usually offer to taste anything before you buy it.

"Do not leave without trying the famous local wines and cheeses that are made with care by local producers .. It is full of GOURMET ...... ingredients from the province"
"This is the second year in a row we have visited this lovely garden and we will come again. The Villa Eilenroc is down a small side street in the Cap d'Antibes with not much parking but we get there at 11 and you can usually park along the road. In May it is open Weds and Sat only and costs 2€ which..." is nothing. Most of the garden is tropical and slightly left to nature but the walled rose garden and adjoining walkway smothered with roses are breathtaking. May and June would be the best time to see this. The views from the garden over the Med are stunning. You have to really see this place in full sun and blue skies. You can also walk the sentier littoral from outside the garden that takes you right along the sea front which you can't do in a car.
