Opened in 1993 by Prince Edward, Inverness Floral Hall & Gardens are an oasis of calm and beauty within walking distance of the city centre. With each new season the outside gardens are an explosion of colour and texture, and borders are planted to demonstrate a wide variety of plants and growing conditions. The impressive glasshouses reveal the drama of plant diversity ranging from the tropical rainforests to arid, heat scorched desert.

Bogbain Farm is a private hire venue suitable for weddings, parties and other events! It is also the home of the Inverness Whisky Festival, BrewDog's Brew at the Bog and the Northern Roots Festival. Please note, as of 2011, the farm has been under new management and no longer has a restaurant, pottery studio, children's outdoor activities, farm shop or insect animal sanctuary. We now focus on putting on fantastic barn events!Bogbain is based only 3 miles south of Inverness on the A9. It’s convenient location means access is easy from anywhere in the country, but it also has oodles of Highland charm, and stunning views across the Moray Firth. The venue can cater for 120 guests for a meal and up to 250 for the evening dance. We also have ample space for a marquee outside.Unique features include a saloon bar, a cocktail bar, red-stone cobbled flooring, a Desperate Dan pie stove, an accordion collection, full disabled access and toilet facilities, original stone walls and timber beams, vintage farm machinery and lots of space to have a great time!We are fully licensed for religious and civil ceremonies.

"We took our three children out on the boat and we immediatelty saw a mother and its calf just outside the harbour as we left. Sadly they would be the only dolphins we would see on the trip, but our captain made it a really lovely trip anyway. Our three boys got to drive the boat each and LOVED IT!..." They keep mentioning that more than many of the other things we did on holiday!!! On the way back into harbour we saw the two dolphins again and they were happy to entertain us again.
A lovely afternoon, with a very friendly captain and a couple of beautiful dolphins.

"My fiancee booked an evening cruise for my 50th birthday. What a fantastic evening. We sailed at 7:30, headed off onto Loch Ness, to Urquhart castle and back. Had a fantastic buffet from Leachkin bakery, a fantastic spread and also had a friend who piped us on and off the boat with a nice piece out ..."in the middle of the loch. Good crew, great time. There is an on-board bar!

"I bought a private tour from Gordon on a sunny day in early November. Because I was the only one he'd have to 'look after' it allowed us to go hiking in some of the more unexplored parts of the Highlands. We drove to the - in my opinion - quite challenging but yet mesmerizing Dun Dearduil where we s..."tarted by crossing a river between the bushes. Gordon guided me towards the foot of the ben and soon we were jumping, climbing and crawling, sweating, panting and laughing until we finally reached the top... and the sight of the incredibly beautiful Loch Ness caught my eye. None of us spoke a word - as a matter of fact, we needn't speak a word; the view was nothing but divine.
When we came back down it had started to rain, so we decided to drive around in the area and watch bens and glens whilst singing along to the world's best band - Runrig! ;) We also saw the Falls of Foyer and even heard a most wonderfully curious and magical rain-on-loch-sound. Fascinating for a sensuous girl like me...
