My son was asked with making models of these horses for a school project so we came to see the real things. They are very impressive and we enjoyed viewing these. We spent about an hour here, there wasn't much else to do but the kids had fun!

Very cool place. Went on a bike trip from Edinburgh to Glasgow via Union Channel and enjoyed the tranquility of this place. We didn't take the boat but watched the scenery from afar as the ships get lifted up and down at this important and historical crossroads. There is a nice coffee place nearby with good views. Weather was great so that definitely contributed to the experience. Wonderful bike trip and highly recommended!

I booked the x-race experience for my partners birthday in January and everyone loved it. The race experience was really fun & it was great having the track to ourselves.

The staff were so helpful & full of energy on the day - big thanks to Finlay for helping me amend my booking (on more than one occasion!)

On holiday with young kids and quite fabulously amazed at £1.00 parking by card only ..but so much to see and most importantly with under 5’s clean toilets with loads of soap and hand dryer.Small stand on stool for little ones too.👍

Lovely walk around.Loads for little ones to see and watch/observe.

Our only grumble is dog owners with barking /snarling dogs when they are around the lovely animals.Seriously? If you can’t control your animal ??Do not come here and alarm little ones/ families ..but most importantly the actual animals!!!

Loved it!!!! Add a small play park for kids with mini tractors /bikes /tyre walk??Win win!!😀

It's an atmospheric place. The outline of the fort is clear and the information boards stimulate the imagination, but don't expect to see any Roman buildings or bits of wall. Unless Roman history is your passion, it's probably not worth a special outing, but it makes a great adjunct to a visit to the Falkirk Wheel and the walk through the woodland is very pleasant, with some great views.

An very interesting building that is different from something seen on a day to day basis. There are some nice walks around the building itself. Well worth visiting although not a lot to do around the building.

Attended a conference here in June 2019. Room was good, although problems with the mics and sound system at the start. Catering was excellent (apparently an excellent vegan offering too), although surprised at the lack of any fruit! Venue toilets and bag store were good, and in terms of location it’s a five minute walk to Grahamston train station. Would recommend.

Spent some time in the walled garden today. It was a beautiful sunny day and the seating areas make for a peaceful relaxing moment. Unfortunately can't say we had a great experience at the cafe. Started off well and was shown to a table however that was as far as we got as nobody came to take our order so after 15minutes we left abd nobody seemed to notice.

The first thing you should know is that the castle is occupied and has been for awhile. I’m not sure of all the details, but it’s occupied and being restored.

We arrived sheepishly, noticing clear signs that the castle was not abandoned, but was occupied. As we made our way up, the fellow who is living there happened to come out. “Hello, and who are you?” When we explained ourselves, he very graciously showed us around the castle and the work that he has done towards its restoration. He’s passionate about the place, but random people showing up on his doorstep must make getting things done difficult. I wouldn’t presume upon a similar private tour. It makes for a good story, but it wasn’t what we had expected.

The nearby broch is a must see. It’s a beautiful small hike to the 2000 year old Pictish fort, but it’s a great parallel of you happened to have hiked the wall down south that was made by their adversaries.
