"Park the car at East Sooke Park and walk to the beginning of the real West Coast. Wild, scenic, beautiful trees await. Take a backpack with water and snack and try and walk halfway to the point that is the southern most tip in Canada. Take binoculors, and wear appropiate clothes. A bit of climbing, ..."narrow bits between trees, mossy rocks that can be slippery. But dont be put off if you have small children and grandparents. after leaving the carpark there is a large field for a picnic chair, or turn left and walk sount around the gentler side. Dont wear perfume as it will attract the bugs. Take water to drink.

"On the road to Sooke. 10 minutes before you reach the city of Sooke. Small but fun and intersting. If you go in late Spring walk out the back and see and smell the yellow skunk Cabbage."
"Just finished a business trip to Victoria and capped it off with a fishing trip with Fishwestcoast Sportfishing Charters.
We caught a nice 25 lb halibut and a pair of chinook salmon in the 8 to 10 lb range. Nice weather, nobody got sea sick, and it was a very short distance from his personnal..." wharf to the the fishing grounds as it made for a great day on the water. The guide set up all the gear and kept us entertained through out the day.
I look forward to coming back to Vancouver Island again as there is a lot of things to do close to Victoria. Price was a little above average compared to others but overall we enjoyed our time and plan on doing it again.
