Polson Park is located near the heart of Vernon, adjacent to Highway 97 and Highway 6. The park was established in 1908 when Samuel Polson donated a large parcel of land to the city. Located in the park is the Lawn Bowling Club, the Interior Space and Science Centre, the Arts Council and Vernon Heritage Hall.Polson Park is probably best known for the Floral Clock that was installed in 1958. The date is changed daily and it provides a great photo with its colourful background. Further into the park you will find the Japanese Garden, which was donated by the Japanese Community and the Chinese Pagoda, which was donated by the Chinese Community. Both were constructed in 1967 as Centennial Projects. The Rose Garden, a perennial favorite and also a Centennial project, is located in the south east of the park. Specific areas of the park can be reserved for your special event such as weddings, social gatherings and concerts.

"Davison is a great place to let your kids run off some steam, but it's also a nice place to bring an older relative - just get a slice of their wonderful pie or fresh frozen yogurt, sit back on a sunny day and enjoy the spectacular views of Vernon.
Davison is a popular tourist destination, so wit..."h that comes a few drawbacks: prices are a bit high, tour buses can make certain times a little crazy and crowded, and parking can get sticky. Still, I like how Davison gives you options. You can pay for the "deluxe" playground for the kids or let them run around for free on the smaller playground. You can pay for the orchard tours and merchandise, or you can get a cup of coffee and soak in the view. I highly recommend trying one of their homemade pies (I love the crate berry!), and their apple juice is unlike any other apple juice you've tried. It's amazing! (And available in slush form for those hot summer days).
There's not enough to do at Davisons to occupy a whole day, but you could...

"Try the refresh for men(Facial), also the maple sugar body treatment, pedicure and Cold Sauna. The 7 themed saunas and steam rooms are to die for....be advised Clothing optional 9pm until closing."
"I liked this stop more then I expected. I thought it would be just an other tourist trap, designed to make you buy stuff. But it was actually very interesting. The live hive was so fantastic! The staff explained a lot, and made sure all our questions were answered. The posters were also educational...." Learned a lot. We did buy honey, but just a little, since we travel by plane. The staff did not pressure us in buying more and even provided special bubble wrap. How kind. Go there and watch the bees at work!
