"Sitting at 282 feet below sea level, Badwater Basin is the lowest point in North America.
Here you can walk miles and miles on the salt flat. It's a good place for a quick stop. Since it is open space, don't forget your sun block!"
"Such a awesome and unique place. Being European I have never been anywhere like this before. It has got to be one of the quietest places I have every been. We went when it was 105 Degrees (American) with no wind at all so make sure you take lots of water. Also when you drive there make sure you go w..."ith a full tank of petrol (gas for our American cousins). The nearest Petrol (gas) station is Furnace creek which is almost twice as expensive and most other petrol stations around Vegas.

"What a great view. Unique, and a great place to just sit...and look.
There are the usual "hole in the floor" National Park facilities here, but (when we visited) they were clean.
Plenty of parking.
Take a camera, some good antibac handwash (for after using the bathroom), and enjoy.
Note, this isn't ..."really visible from the road. You have to park up, and walk up the steep bank to view in it's entire beauty!
